Salesforce – Themes

Themes are found in the main organization Setup and configuration:

Once here, Salesforce provides multiple OOTB themes which vary in color, group avatar, user avatar, banner images, and more.

We can create our own themes too. Click “New Them” and set all preferred properites.

After setting several values, the updates can be reviewed with the “Preview” option:

Importantly, the branding for Mobile apps is different. Search specifically for “Branding” in the Setup UI:

Here we see a separate option under Mobile apps and a more limited set of configuration options:

Custom branding / themes can also be cloned, unlike OOTB themes.

Another quirk to note: Chatter – external users do not see the custom theme, but instead see the Lightning Blue theme by default.
